What do we do

From 2007 We support the management and health development of non-profit hospitals in different countries in Africa, so that they offer decent health care and assistance in accordance with the basic needs of the population.

In the year 2018, thanks to the consolidation of the centers in Cameroon with which we have been working for more than 12 years collaborating, We were able to expand our horizons and step firmly into Benin y Ivory Coast, as well as boot in Chad: three new countries in which we begin a new stage.

Nowadays, inside of the Hospitals for Africa Program, We maintain a close relationship with 22 health institutions from six African countries, developing water and electricity infrastructure, building or adapting new facilities, and providing them with medical and computer equipment.

At the same time, the Training program, which started in 2008. Since then, Recover Foundation has funded studies for more than 250 African professionals –both in European universities and in African institutions–, with an investment valued at more than 350.000 euros.

At the base of Telemedicine Program there is our own online platform, that connects two groups of professionals in the healthcare world: on the one hand nurses and doctors from Africa, and by other specialists from Spain and other countries in the world who offer their knowledge voluntarily., to solve complex diagnostic cases and provide continuous training. So, local professionals improve their knowledge and skills, y, at the same time, Patients have access to specialized diagnoses and treatments.

After 9 years of activity, 149 toilets of 50 health centers from sub-Saharan Africa have received permanent support in diagnostics, serving more than 2.000 patients.

From 2007 and thanks to the Patient Program, it has been possible to offer a better life to about 170 people sick with 12 different countries that needed treatment. For this they have been temporarily transferred to Spain, to undergo surgical interventions that could not be performed in their country of origin.
